Streamline Testout Development and Standardize Documentation Templates

Wednesday, September 9th, 2015 @
12:00pm - 1pm

Facilitator: Melissa Liu,
Children's Health System of Texas

Have your employees complained of attending redundant training to learn what they already knew and used before?

Have your front-line managers grumbled lower productivity due to holding their employees in class too long?

Here is a solution: An online system testout program for onboarding staff with prior system training and experience.

Developing and implementing a comprehensive system testout program involves extensive teamwork among stakeholders, operation managers and staff, the system analyst team, and training department. It requires a comprehensive knowledge of the system, in-depth understanding of the operation workflows, broad planning and project management, and detailed eLearning development skills.

In this presentation, the presenter will

  • Introduce background info about the Epic system testout training programs
  • Showcase the Epic Testout Program for Inpatient Providers live in the LMS
  • Explain the streamlined testout design and development process
  • Share the Agile-oriented project management templates used to support this project
  • Demonstrate the ROI Calculator
  • Answer questions
Note: The Epic electronic health record system is being used nationwide. In the DFW area, hospitals including UT Southwestern, Parkland, John Peter Smith, and Children’s Health are all using Epic right now.
