ATD AXIS Awards Application Registration

The ATD Dallas AXIS Awards recognize outstanding learning and talent development work across the DFW community. As a long-standing signature event, the awards highlight innovative programs, measurable impact, and the teams and partnerships behind them.

In 2026, the AXIS Awards will be celebrated as part of the Southwest Learning Summit (SWLS), bringing together an even broader community of talent development professionals to honor this incredible work.

ABOUT THE APPLICATION:

Everybody is welcome to register to apply for the 2026 AXIS Awards. The pricing is as follows:

Members: Free
Non-Members: $75 application fee per submission
Vendor/Partners applying with their client: $150 application fee per submission

Once registration is complete and payment has been processed, an email containing the application link will be sent to the registered contact.

We highly recommend that the contact person create a login profile in Formsite to be able to save progress and return to the application as needed.

Completed Applications must be submitted by June 15, 2026.

AXIS Awards Ceremony

The 2026 AXIS Awards Ceremony will take place on September 29, 2026, during a special lunch celebration at the Southwest Learning Summit (SWLS). Award winners will be recognized in front of the broader Southwest Learning Summit community, bringing together hundreds of learning and talent development professionals from across the DFW.

What is a GIG (Geographical Interest Group) Lunch Meet-Up?

The ATD Dallas Chapter is creating more casual, connection-first networking opportunities across Dallas and our surrounding suburban areas. GIG Lunch Meet-Ups expand on the lunch gatherings we’ve offered in the past and allow us to host multiple lunches each month in different locations—making it easier for members to connect close to where they live or work.

Many L&D teams already have strong best practices in place. Sheri Moise introduces the Success Planet System as an added layer of data that helps explain how people naturally make decisions, respond under pressure, and follow through.

In this session, you will see how applying these insights can improve learning adoption by adjusting three levers in any rollout: messaging, pacing, and reinforcement, without customizing a different program for every person. Sheri will use clear examples to demonstrate how the insights translate into leadership development, coaching, and change initiatives. No astrology background required!

Objectives:

Participants will be able to:
Identify the core elements of an operating style and how it influences adoption and follow-through
Recognize what changes under pressure, what can disrupt behavior change, and what support improves follow-through
Apply a simple method for adjusting three levers in any rollout: messaging, pacing, reinforcement

In the world of safety training, the "path of least resistance" usually leads to passive videos or static slide decks that fail to drive real behavioral change. To truly move the needle on safety outcomes, L&D professionals must work backward from identified skill gaps to create high-impact, immersive experiences.
