Position Description:


• Design and deliver engaging training for all employees throughout the organization using a variety of delivery methods (e.g. classroom, webinar, eLearning, video, etc.)
• Participate in meetings with Instructional Design, business experts, and other teams/departments to understand training needs, determine project scope, and ensure all deadlines are met
• Support sales teams by facilitating scheduled training for new MLOs and creating mortgage training curriculum related to sales and compliance policies, procedures, and processes
• Utilize Camtasia, Snag-It, GoAnimate, and Articulate Storyline to create engaging training materials that appropriately convey learning concepts and enhance retention
• Review and proofread courses and training materials for grammar and ensure the use of clear, simple language and appropriate instructional graphics
• Upload and deploy training in the Learning Management System (LMS), provide new hires with LMS enrollment, assign and track training, and provide past-due notifications and extension requests
• Review new and existing training content to ensure compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements
• Work closely with the loan origination system software and IT to test solutions
• Gather employee feedback on courses and adjust delivery methods and/or course content as needed to ensure courses are engaging, appropriately convey learning concepts, and promote knowledge retention
• Recommend technological enhancements and process improvements
• Monitor the Training mailbox to ensure all employees’ training questions are answered in a timely manner
• Participate in special projects of any complexity
• Maintain ability to travel and work non-standard hours when necessary
• Perform other duties as assigned


• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to maintain flexibility and react to changes quickly
• Ability to analyze, problem-solve, and develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles
• Ability to interface with other departments to resolve issues as applicable
• Ability to maintain a customer focus and efficiently and consistently produce accurate work in both individual and team settings
• Solid knowledge of computer systems including MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)


• High school diploma or GED
• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
• 5-7 years of related experience in the mortgage industry, including instructional design and delivery for instructor-led classroom, virtual, and eLearning courses
• Knowledge of training facilitation methods, learning theories, and instructional design principles
• Proficient in Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, and Vyond
• Knowledge of mortgage industry guidelines associated with state and federal regulations

• Experience with Ellie Mae Encompass
