The CPTD is grounded in the ATD Capabilities model and covers a subset of knowledge and skills. It focuses on the application of knowledge and decision making.

How is the APTD different from the CPTD?

The APTD designation is intended for those early in their career with three to five years of experience in talent development. The APTD focuses on a subset of capabilities from the Talent Development Capability Model and how to use that knowledge in talent development.

Having a support system during your preparation can be extremely beneficial for your success. The ATD Dallas Chapter partners with several other chapters to offer a virtual study group to support both the CPTD and the APTD. 

Cost: 

• Chapter members - FREE 
• Non-chapter members - $100
