Story Sound Tracks: Creating audio story tracks for training
Wednesday, October 12, 2016
12:00 noon
Facilitator: Rance Greene
When writing stories for training that concretely connect to learning, design and delivery options may seem limited to video. In this session, we’ll look at the powerful medium of audio to tell a story. Audio, far easier to edit than video, overcomes many of the limitations we place on story-telling in training. Join us as we bring a script to life in a live recording. You will gain insights on how to:
- Coach volunteer actors to deliver the dialogue in a natural, compelling voice
- Record, mix and edit audio files, using Audacity as the editing tool
- Add auxiliary audio, such as sound effects and underscore
- Use the finished audio story creatively in training
