In today’s work environment so many professionals are hesitant to negotiate for a better salary, benefits, and opportunities due to fears and concerns that could potentially lead to an offer being rescinded. It is your right to ask for fair market value and to consider what you want and need for a win/win outcome. Long-term careers and earnings are affected by this inability or unwillingness to negotiate, but it doesn’t have to be this way!
In this workshop, we will look at emotional barriers and how to move beyond the fear. We’ll discuss sources that you can use to research what your “fair market value” might be. Strategies and tactics are, in part, a large contributor to finding your return on investment, especially knowing the language to making a counteroffer.
About the facilitator:
Joy Perkins focuses on teaching practical strategies, processes and approaches that promote confidence building and successfully navigating the challenges associated with transition and change. She challenges her clients to avoid “settling” and encourages them to follow their values and passion instead.
