Join us for an evening of networking, refreshments, and an exciting speaker!
We’ve all learned the models and methodologies when it comes to change…models created by academics, observers, consultants—great people who haven’t necessarily led a change, but their insight is ignored at our peril. Why is it that so many organizations who use these tools still lose at change? Well, it takes one to know one. As someone whose led vast changes at companies like Travelocity, GE and American Airlines…as someone who’s failed and succeeded...Al Comeaux reveals a completely different dimension we need to win at change: Mindset. As leaders, we walk into the change with the wrong orientation. For example: We think organizations can change. We think we have to get our people to change. We think our people have to change. We think it’s all about outcomes. And—with bruises to show for these mistakes himself—Al Comeaux explains just why we’re thinking wrong and how we need to think—the mindset we need as leaders—to lead change successfully.
ABOUT THE FACILITATOR
Al Comeaux is a global authority on change from the inside-out, having led vast changes inside numerous companies, including an IPO, a hostile takeover, a leveraged buyout, three CEO transitions and two major startups. After a failed change in the 90s, he set out to learn why some organizations’ change efforts succeed, while most fail. This experience and insight make him one of the world’s leading experts on what leaders must think and do to succeed at change, and it’s why his book, Change (the) Management: Why We As Leaders Must Change for the Change to Last, has been ranked a top-five book on leadership and change for three years running.
