ATD Dallas August Chapter Meeting
Walking Counterfeits
Tuesday, August 29 / 6:00pm – 7:30pm
Facilitator: Aundrea Payne
BRIEF DESCRIPTION
In Talent Development, we are in the people business. We must understand who people are and what makes them tick. But what happens when someone doesn’t present their “real self” to you? How do you know when someone is being authentic? Can you identify the counterfeits that are walking amongst us? If not, this session is for you!
In a world often shaped by curated images and “smoke and mirrors”, the need for authenticity has become more important than ever.
In this session you will:
- Identify “counterfeit” attributes in ourselves and others.
- Examine the complex nature of authenticity and how it benefits us personally and professionally.
- Explore Techniques for dealing with inauthentic people, while developing strategies to incorporate authenticity into various aspects of life.
