Please join us to discuss the direction and topics for this group: what are you struggling with in training your software products? What are the best tips or things you’ve done to help your software training? What products (like Camtasia, Captivate, Flash, etc.) do you use to create online demos, training, and assessments? How can we best share examples and ideas for creating these? What authoring software do you use to develop User Guides and Training Manuals for your software – and why? Your input will be valuable.
Dates: April 10, May 8, June 12, July 10, August 14, and September 11…. Every second Wednesday of the month.
Description of Software & Technology SIG: Join other trainers / curriculum developers responsible for training clients and internal employees how to use various software products. Let’s share ideas for classroom, web-based, and asynchronous online courses. Let’s learn together to make this job-related training more interesting, fun and retainable! We especially want to share examples of how to use a variety of authoring software (Captivate, Camtasia, Flash, Framemaker, etc.) to create the best courses possible!
*There is a cafeteria in the building and also a PotBelly Sandwich shop one block away.
All members of Dallas ASTD are welcome to attend any SIG any time. All non-members please feel free to join us for up to 2 sessions at a SIG. After 2 sessions, to provide ongoing chapter support to the SIG, you will be expected to join Dallas ASTD by paying the annual dues of $115.
