Join the ATD Dallas Board of Directors in 2025!
Thank you for your interest in serving on the Board of Directors for the ATD Dallas Chapter. A strong and active Board of Directors ensures the success and wellbeing of the chapter as we strive to make Dallas the "Talent Development Capital of the World" through Access, Recognition, and Expertise.
Board Membership & Responsibility
The Board consists of 8-15 leaders who represent the Talent Development Field. It is the responsibility of the Board to:
- Develop, approve, and implement the strategic plans that support the ATD Dallas value proposition
- Establish policy for the operations of the chapter
- Manage the chapter budget
- Recruit leadership, excite volunteerism in the chapter, and support committees to deliver value to chapter members
- Perform other functions to ensure the success of the chapter
Board Eligibility
Interested candidates must be members in good standing of ATD Dallas and be a member at the National level of ATD. A career in the Talent Development field is preferred. A commitment and interest in the field is required.
2025 Board of Directors Roles:
Executive Committee- President
- President-Elect
- Senior Advisor(s)
- Past President
Board of Directors to consist of the following:
- VP of Community Engagement
- VP of Marketing
- VP of Memberships
- VP of Partnerships
- VP of Programs
- VP of Professional Development
- VP of Signature Events
- VP of Technology
Each of the above areas will also have one or more Director/Lead roles available.

- Send an email with an expression of interest, sharing with us why you are interested in the role, along with a current resume to presidentelect@tddallas.org
- Submissions will be accepted from Tuesday, August 20 to Tuesday, October 1.
Selection Process
We will engage in the below process to review candidate interest and nominate candidates for voting by Members.
- Post position on ATDDallas.org for a minimum of two weeks
- Candidates submit expression of interest and resume
- Initial Conversation: Conducted by a member of the Nominating Committee (President Elect, Senior Advisor, or Committee Member)
- Nominating Committee meets to discuss conversations and determine next steps
- Second Conversation: Conducted by President Elect or other member of the Board
- Recommendations submitted to the Board
- Notification to candidates
- Membership vote active on TDDallas.org for a minimum of two weeks
- Announcement to the Chapter
