You've Got Skills: How Environment and Motivational Skills Impact Your Career

How do you know that you’re pursuing a career that will be a good fit for you? Would you like to better understand how your work environment preferences impact your performance? Perhaps you would like to better understand why you excel and enjoy certain aspects of a job, but feel burned out at times? During this session, you’ll be introduced to Holland's person-environment fit theory to identify your motivational skills that will help you target certain positions, improve your pitch, and upgrade your resume.
About the facilitator:
Tara Lewis, Ed.D., has worked in Higher Education for over 12 years and has experience in creating strategic partnerships, program development, fostering diversity and engagement, and connecting communities. In Higher Education she excelled at bridging academic and student affairs and has experience in the areas of career development, programming, residential life, and navigating and developing policies and procedures that benefit students experience on campus.

When: 6:30-8:00pm You are welcome to arrive early to network and get settled prior to the start of the meeting.
All members of ATD Dallas are welcome to attend any SIG any time at no charge. Non-members are welcome to join us for up to 2 complimentary sessions. After that, to provide ongoing chapter support to the SIG, you will need to join ATD Dallas by paying annual dues of $115.
