ATD Dallas October Chapter Meeting

Diversity Equity & Inclusion Practices

Tuesday, October 19, 2021
5:30 - 7:00 PM (CST)

Speakers: Showna Nicole Price, Pallavi Ridout and Jared Fitzpatrick

Simply having a diversity & inclusion (D&I) policy in place does not effectively solve the problem of Increasing diversity, inclusion and belonging in the workplace and battling discriminatory practices, whether deliberate or unconscious.

Join us for this lively discussion where we talk about specific DE&I practices our panelists have helped put into place to enhance inclusion, learning, collaboration and innovation in their workplace.

About the speakers:

Showna Nicole Price is a Diversity and Inclusion Program Manager at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control, one of the largest companies in the aerospace, defense, security and technologies industries, where she manages Diversity and Inclusion initiatives across the business area. Born in Louisiana, she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from Oklahoma State University and both her MBA and Master of Science Degree in Management from Texas A&M University-Commerce.

Before she began her career in Diversity and Inclusion, Showna gained over 11 years of experience in the Talent Management area of Human Resources. As a Talent Acquisition Manager, she managed global recruiting teams, intern and early career programs, a variety of strategic projects and performed full life cycle recruiting. She works closely with managers and business leaders to help identify process gaps and develop solutions to help realize the organizations short term and long-term human capital strategy goals.

Showna’s passion is “learning, volunteering, health and fitness, and helping others realize their personal and professional purpose."
