ATD Dallas October Chapter Meeting
Applying Learning Technologies at 7-11
Tuesday, November 16, 2021
5:30 - 7:00 PM (CST)
Speaker: Rachel White Grzymkowski, MBA
Over the past 18 months, every talent development professional has experienced challenges: creating virtual training options for a remote workforce, developing training content to address mental wellness, supporting onboarding for new employees, and the list goes on and on.
The retail industry across the globe is facing unprecedented challenges in today’s environment. 7-Eleven refers to this new environment as VUCA – volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous. With labor struggles at an all-time high, supply chain shortages across all regions, and increasing customer count, the training department was able to hold to the 7-Eleven motto to “Give the customers what they want, when and where they want it.” The presentation will briefly cover 7-Eleven’s history, organizational uniqueness, and how the L&D team applied learning technologies to deliver better training outcomes in the current VUCA environment.
This will be our first in-person chapter meeting, and we wanted to do it big! So, be sure to come out and stay afterward for golf and food! Our meeting will be at TopGolf (8787 Park Lane, Dallas, TX 75231).
